10 things you can do in the next 30 days to launch your brand
First, Choose a business name. If you’re struggling on what to name it, think of your end goal. Do you want employees? A location? Do you plan to expand and grow? It would probably be best to choose a name that would work across the board and down the line as an employer. Do you want to be the front and center of your brand? Your personal name may be better suited for your business name.
Next, set up your contracts. You’ll want to do this as soon as possible, so you’ll rest easy knowing your business is secure.

Now It’s time to grab your domain for your business name. I use and recommend Hostgator. You can purchase your domain and hosting for less than $15. Other great companies are BlueHost and GoDaddy.
Next, reserve your business name on all social media handles that you want to be on. I prefer to grab your handle on all the most popular platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Pinterest, YouTube, and Twitter. Do this even if you don’t plan on using any or all of them right now. If you decide down the road to use one, you’ll already have the handle saved.
After you’ve set up your domain name and social media handles, it’s time to work on your brand strategy. Discover your mission statement, personal and brand values, target audience, audience needs, the solution you offer, and your competition. Once you’ve discovered your brand strategy, it’s time to get creative. Create a mood board using Pinterest to collect a series of images that include colors, fonts, textures, brand images and anything that may resonate with your vision. Use these images to build a mood board.
Next you’ll create your logo. If you don’t have the budget to hire a designer, use Canva or have a premade logo made for you through places like Etsy. Stay away from script fonts or overused fonts that you see everywhere. You want a logo that is timeless and will last for years to come. You can’t go wrong with San Serifs and Serif Fonts.
After you’ve chosen your logo, use a color dropper on your moodboard to select your primary and secondary colors from this mood board. Use these brand colors with everything you do. Do not veer away from these colors. Eventually these brand colors will be a pivotal piece of your business your audience will recognize you by.
Now that you have a logo and brand colors, it’s time to come up with your brand typography suite. Find 2-3 fonts that pair nicely together and use these fonts consistently through your entire brand. No excuses. Google Fonts has plenty of beautiful fonts you can use for free.

Once you have your mood board, color palette, and type suite completed, it is now time to design your website. You can use a free template on Showit, and add your colors, typography suite, and logo to make it yours.
Now that you finally have everything completed, it’s time to hype up your launch. Create some graphics using free tools like Canva to build excitement. You can add your brand colors, typography suite and logo to create a countdown until you’re officially launched.
